Finger power

Here is our children’s Favourite video at the moment. My 18 month baby is getting really good at using her fingers & hands imitating this amazing dancer.

After watching this video myself & my children  were inspired to really get finger dancing.


Yoga is a great way to bring attention to children’s fingers.  They love learning cool finger positions called mudras in Yoga. Mudras are traditionally meant to stimulate or calm certain areas of the mind, body & the spirit.

They can be used to release tension such as head aches to more chronic conditions such as stress or other imbalances.

In our Kids Yoga classes we play finger games such as forming fun  animal shadow patterns on the wall. Of course we also   ocasionally play with paints  from time to time &  have fun creating finger & toe art.  All these  Yoga games are designed to  fully exercise the body,  improve concentration levels & stimulate imagination.

This is why Yoga is quite unique as a childrens activity.  Kids Yoga is artistic, holistic , physical & fun.

Melanie is a children’s Yoga teacher in Paris.
As well as teaching Yoga to kids she gives mixed classes for kids & for adults called ‘Fun Yoga for Everybody’.
